Creation

I have always loved to paint and I paint alot. I use to have an obsession with collecting the chunky paint splatter that would get everywhere everytime I was done painting. I always thought they were very interesting and fun, all the different shapes that the paint splatter would make and the color patterns they would make. Those shapes lead me to doodling little blobby characters with smiley faces on them for fun and the idea of HappyObs was initially born! The name comes from the idea of 'Happy' because these characters are meant to bring joy and color to others and 'Obs' is short for blobs. This is one of my first sketches in 2013 of my characters Dazie and Dizie. Together I call this character ILYXO (I Love You X O).
